LANWEIXUE M-LE-13 APPENDIX POINT

Location: About 2 cun distal to Zusanli ST-36 on the right leg.

The precise placement of this point is decided by cautious palpation to locate the point of the most tenderness.

Needling: Perpendicular insertion 1 to 1.5 cun.

Actions: Stimulates qi and blood and expels heat and fire poison from Large Intestine.

Signs and symptoms: Acute and chronic appendicitis, paralysis of the lower extremity, drop foot, indigestion.
