The Ethical Relationship Between Acupuncturists is a course which earns 4 CEUs & PDAs with the CA Board of Acupuncture & the NCBAHM. Over the course of 4 years of Acupuncture training, future Acupuncturists are mostly taught how to diagnose diseases and treat patients. The rules of conduct, which should guide their behavior when interacting with their own professional colleagues, are only slightly touched upon in the curriculum.
These rules and laws actually offer a framework within which the future Acupuncture practitioner can act. Some know that ethical conduct is expected of them but are not very clear on the subject. This course is an attempt at making clear the ethics of relationships between Acupuncture practitioners as well as other situations that may occur. We will discuss areas of our Acupuncture practice where problems may arise, read examples, and learn how best to resolve them ethically.
