This is a 5-credit course approved by the NCCAOM, that deals with treating common colds with acupuncture. We discuss the signs, symptoms and causes of common colds. We discuss how it affects the human body and the effects of the symptoms on the body. Also, the statistics, the pathology, diagnosis classification, treatment, prevention and pain management involved. We discuss the TCM patterns involved and the best treatment protocols. The course details effects on the channels, the points recommended, the point locations, the needling protocols used, and the signs and symptoms associated with each point. Also, the ear acupuncture points and their location and needling protocols. And the herb combinations prescriptions.
