NCBAHM 15 PDAs (AOM-AC 15)
This is a 15 PDAs course that deals with treating sore throat, pharyngitis, and painful swallowing (odynophagia) with acupuncture. We discuss causes for sore throat, symptoms, diagnosis, rapid tests, throat cultures, management, pain medications. Pharyngitis, acute and chronic pharyngitis, common symptoms, other symptoms, causes, throat swabs, and PCR tests for diagnosis, medications, classification, causes by category: viral, bacterial, fungal, noninfectious, diagnosis, management, medications. Also, odynophagia and its causes. Also, the TCM approach with etiology, differentiation, treatment and method with body points, patterns with clinical signs, tongue and pulse signs, treatment goals, herbal formulas, body and ear points with moxa methods.
