SHIXUAN M-UE-1 TEN DIFFUSIONS

Location: On the tips of the ten fingers, about 0.1 cun from the fingernail.

Needling: Prick to bleed. This may be followed by moxibustion.

Actions: Opens the portals and brings back consciousness, expels heat and soothes wind.

Signs and symptoms: Loss of consciousness, windstroke, summerheat stroke, febrile disorder, swelling and pain of the throat, throat moth, acute childhood fright wind, clonic spasm, epilepsy, mania, vomiting, diarrhea, pain and numbness of the fingers.
