YAOTONGXUE N-UE-19 LUMBAR PAIN JOINT

Location: On the dorsum of the hand, two points placed between the second and third and the fourth and fifth metacarpal bones, in the depressions lying directly distal to the bases of the metacarpals.

Slide a finger proximally along the back of the hand towards the wrist, in the groove between the metacarpal bones until it reaches the tender depression just proximal to the junction of the metacarpals.

Needling: Perpendicular insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.

Actions: Strengthens qi and blood in the lumbar region.

Signs and symptoms: Acute lumbar sprain.
